a Kansas City query
Dec. 30th, 2009 03:48 pmOver the next few months, I'd like to add some furniture to my apartment -- just a few basic things, not really an emergency. But I do want to purchase items that have been gently used, rather than brand new, and I think I'd rather not wait for yard sale season again. We'll see.
What second-hand furniture stores do you like for things such as desks, side tables, and bookshelves? I'd really love to find some wall-mounted shelves (rather than floor-space-needing shelves) because there's a lot of vertical space and not as much perimeter space.
Thanks!

And I'd totally forgotten ReStore. Yay!

There's a new thrift shop at 95th and Nall (savers) that has good stuff in general, although not a lot of furniture. At the same intersection, in the parking lot with "Nuts and Bolts" hardware there's another thrift shop called "blessings abound" that's decent too.
