I think the way this goes is as follows: If you want to receive interview questions from me, please speak up on comments (sheep imagery and noises optional). I'm feeling not-serious lately, so please expect questions to perhaps not number five, with variable goofiness.
Questions from
featherynscale, who most graciously stepped away from the Thought-Provoking Machine and gave me a chance to be silly:
1. Since you've already decided for the Princesses, what Ajah would you yourself join?
Really, we were just guessing. The Princesses would certainly decide for themselves. :) For myself, I'd probably choose Green because they're the ones who exhibit the most implied permission to Do [Things] across a wider spectrum. The other Ajahs seem much more self-limiting. To a certain extent, many of them are specialists; Greens are glorious generalists. Or something like that. Browns are more likely to have dogs, though, I think. So there's my fall-back.
2. You are given the Pencil of the Creators, and with it, you can draw into being one item, creature, or person of your choice. (The Pencil, being a greater Artifact, will correct for any lack in your artistic abilities.) What or who do you draw? (Note: the Pencil has no eraser.)
Er. I get very lost in considerations of Unintended Consequences, and wondering if I really ought to create Something just because I can. Most of the stuff I'd want to manifest isn't an item, creature, or person anyway. I think I'd hold onto it until I reached a point in the movie script of my life when the script says, "Oh, if only we had XX! We could save the Universe!" And then I'd pull out my pencil and draw it.
3. If you could live in any fictional world, which would you most like to inhabit? (You may choose to have been born there, or to move there from your current life.)
Goodness, I don't know. Really, I'd just be me in another world, which doesn't necessarily seem preferable to where I am. (I happen to think I've got it pretty good right now.) But I'm currently obsessed with Jordan's world in the Wheel of Time series, so I might like to be there, even though it's a pretty messy place right now. And there's always the Star Trek universe (Next Generation version), which I think is pretty awesome.
4. What words of wisdom do you have for aspiring human beings?
Don't worry so much about whether you know what you're doing, and whether you'll be perfect. Just give it a shot and see what happens. Strive for awesomeness, but don't let the fear of mediocrity stop you from finding joy in what's ordinary. Something like that. Also: Learn some basic life skills, because cleverness/enthusiasm is no substitute for competence.
5. With a free weekend and unlimited funds, what would you do?
Right now, I think I'd go to Vegas and take some risks.

1. How many hats do you own, man?
LMAO, I haave about nine now and expect to add a couple more. I am looking for a couple of fedoras(one in purple).
2. In what way do you expect this Thanksgiving dinner to be different than last year? In what ways are you hoping it's the same?
Different because it is just The Redhead and I for a great dinner. We decided to put the family dram to the side. I expect the good feelings to be the same. I expect the food to be fabulous!! We love cooking together. that is the same. We are happier than we have been in awhile this year and that is very good.
3. How is your fabulous doggie? I adore him so.
Pookie tinkle is as spoiled as ever. His muzzle is as white as mine is if I don't shave. LOL

5. Asking as a person who might someday have a second marriage, what perspective would you offer that could make a difference the second time 'round?
Marry a friend a like mind. Not somebody you need to change or mold.
Remember you deserve to be happy.
compromise like the universe in marriage should be balanced.
You know what you don't want in a marriage the second time around, go with that. ;-)
Communication, talking is the bestway to get thrugh a rough patch. Not talking at your partner, the two of you talking to each other.
If you decide to do it again, I think you will do fine. You have always impressd me as a person who learns from life's lessons.
Hugs

Date: 2009-11-25 11:32 pm (UTC)I note that #1 is only approaching comprehensible to one who is still in book one and has only just heard of Ajahs. Context was Thom saying to Rand and Mat something like you couldn't even tell one Ajah from another. These colors, they mean nothing. :) I also think I'm not allowed to get told since that would be a big fat spoiler.
PS I hate Mat right now, but love Perrin so much.
let's obsess here
