saffronhare does not have any friends, that she doesn't think they know her, that she thinks they will know her too well for comfort or any such nonsense.
It's simply that she lacks the imagination to actually create one of sufficient cleverness for herself. Plus, it's tricky to sort all those alternate personas out...and still remember which ones are supposed to stay secret.
