Spankings are perfectly fine, as long as the spank-er realizes that the spank-ee responds to such things with Brinksmanship and Prejudice. Although to be fair, a spanking is an obvious non-lethal assault and thus the counter would also be non-lethal and not malicious. That is, assuming that the spank-er's definition of malice is on par with mine.
