I'm in the middle of a spate of bad sleep nights -- as in, I feel like I don't really SLEEP until after 3 a.m. Really, really exhausted...and it's starting to show likewhoa. I needs me some beauty sleep.

Switching water is playing merry hell with my skin and hair. I'm splotchy/itchy all over and breaking out with pimples. Yuck. I haven't changed soap or laundry detergents; the new water is the only explanation I can think of. I sure hope the adjustment period ends soon.

I'm trying to grow out my hair a bit, but it's really getting outta control. And my roots are growing in more noticeably than ever. A haircut isn't going to happen anytime soon, but maybe I can at least color my hair tonight.

The best I can manage is about three hours sleep and constant cat napping. I dont think its good for me at all.
Yesterday I shaved for the first time in about six weeks. Was experimenting with a beard. Not sure if I look better but I sure feel better.

You have just managed to comfort me enormously, despite your own sleep-deprived state. I am thankful not to (yet) be at the point where I can experiment with a beard. :)

Growing a beard was more to do with laziness than making a fashion statement :)
Family kept saying "For Gods sake shave" so I said "Im growing a beard" :)

Well, I'm glad you feel better for having shaved it, at least. Did you not like the look of the beard, or was it just uncomfortable?

Could be worse... you could be at a point where you have to color your roots with a sharpie. 8-)

I suggest a few hours of boffer fighting each night to wear you out by 9PM. ;-)

I am not sure I could manage boffer fighting that often, but increased physical activity will probably help. Good suggestion.

The couch to 5k might be workable while the girls are gone... I might try that again after the hundred pushups. 8-)

I need to remember this as well. I'm not getting to sleep until WAY later than I should lately...

Thing is, I'm getting to bed early enough for 7-8 hours of sleep and I sort of feel like I drift to sleep, but for the last few nights it's not been at all restful until after 3 a.m. Bleh.

Increase physical activity during the day, maybe add yoga back in, have a warm shower before bed. I know these things help, and I've gotta do them. Just feeling really ragged today, you know?

Yes, except this is *all over* my body. Most likely explanation, since I've experienced this before, is the change in water. Most of the remedies I've got for irritated skin involve, well, using the water.

I'm cutting back on other things that trigger inflammatory response and trying to be patient for a few more days. It should be over soon, but a girl likes not to look (or feel) like a a leper for her birthday, you know? Argh. There are worser things. :)

[livejournal.com profile] cerrunos and I have not been sleeping well either.

Especially me. It's really starting to wear on me. I don't know what it is either. I'm just constantly waking up, totally, not just wake up and go back to sleep. It's wakeup and get up, read email, read book at 3:00 am then go back to bed.

Really sucking it is. Sucking hard.
