Gratitudes

Some more serious than others:

These days, I am grateful for...

• Enough help (both mechanical and physical) that Saturday's move was accomplished without injury or rushing or anybody really freaking out, with time and peace at the end of the day for a hot bath and a good bedtime.


• A washer/dryer on the same level as the rest of the living area. (no stairs!)


• Decluttering that happened *before* the move, sufficient that I have enough of what I need to do Just Fine, but not so much that everything is crowded with no place to put things.


• A pool on the premesis, so we could go play yesterday; also, that the pool water was chilly, so I didn't stay long enough to get sunburned. (Later, I will be grateful that the water is warmer)


• A kitchen set-up efficient enough (despite a smaller "footprint") that it was easier than ever to have the girls help me cook dinner last night without all of us bumping into each other.


• Poppy Camp, starting on Sunday.


• Relatively simple set-up of communications systems and other essentials within the constraints of the budget I'd gathered and the time I'd taken off from work.


• A happy Dingo, who seems to be transitioning well to Life With Fractal.


• OMG have I mentioned the bathtub?


• Patience and tremendous effort from lots of friends, who have helped me get through this particular gate. In particular, I could not have gotten through Saturday without fionnabhar, nodea57, twixxa, diermuid, niveus_tigris, Blake and Carson and all the teenagers and younger kids, who were awesomely helpful and good-humored.


• Well-timed visits and phone calls from agrnmn and 8elements, as well as the continued fence-building fu of zylch, featherynscale, triadruid, and their crew (too numerous to name).


• Re-invigorated showings at the house, which give me hope that I won't be paying double utilities for very long.
