Scholarly Extremes

So, I'm making good on my promise to myself to get back to reading/experiencing Prometheus Rising and cannot find the blasted book anywhere. That's distressing for a few reasons -- mostly because my laziness has resulted in a house so messy that it's a miracle we can find the couch; but also because it's not my book! I promise I'll replace it if it's gone forever, [livejournal.com profile] featherynscale. :(

In addition, I think it's high time to purchase a (beginner's level?) reference book about Kabbalah/QBLH...whatever. Internet research is lovely, but it's only one source and cross-pollination of errors is notoriously common. I'll happily accept and consider recommendations.

This year has been pretty heavy on practice over research...I feel a need to shore up my knowledge base. Besides, [livejournal.com profile] agrnmn and I have a tradition of purchasing books on the day after Christmas -- the world may crumble if we don't.

Later -- Saff

Check the center console of the Sable. And yes I would love to go by books today!

Yippee! Found it -- in the center console, where you suggested I look. Thanks. Now I only have to endure the lesser shame of having everyone know I couldn't find something, rather than having actually lost a book. Whew.

This is only possible because of the fine training you as a Master locater have given to me your apprentice.

Thank you, little grasshopper.

Actually, I'm not entirely certain that the copy you have is mine - it may belong to one of the other Entropians. I've owned several copies myself, and find it to be the sort of title that wanders off a lot, though.
