I got home this evening to see a jelly jar glass on my kitchen counter, knowing full well nobody had been here since nine o'clock this morning, except for the two scheduled showings.

Huh, I thought. Okay. Somebody got a drink of water. I shrugged it off. And then I walked into the bathroom to the discovery that somebody had done something...um, smeary in the toilet. That person really ought to have flushed a second time, you know? Plus, a towel seems to be missing from the rack on the back of the bathroom door.

I am so, so DONE with having my house on the market.

Two business cards were on the dining room table -- one from each Realtor who showed the house today. I'll be sending a note to my own agent about it.

Seriously? What kind of person takes a dump during a house showing? I mean, I understand getting a feel for the house as far as being comfortable, but that's taking it a bit far. Also, that person has too much fat in their diet if their stool is sticking to the bowl, just sayin'. Perhaps you can include that in your note. :)

We actually had one house, which was a whole post-tastic experience in itself, but when running about with a realtor, you are often out all day. Business will inevitably call. So one of the kids had to do a #2... and then the wife, and then I, and then another kid... something about that house, man... we laughed about that for weeks. 8-)
