Money makes de vorld go 'round.

In a stroke of late winter genius (or NOT), Fiona's come home with not one but TWO fundraisers from school -- both of which focus on frozen cookie dough and other yummy items (zero! trans! fat!).

One supports her school PTA; the other supports her YMCA after-school program. I like both of these causes and try to do one fundraiser each year for each girl's activities. Here are links to the various catalogs online, so you can peruse the selections.

Personally, I have experienced a tranformative frozen cookie dough epiphany this year and intend to buy as much as I possibly can. As Bartles & Jaymes used to say: Thank you for your support. (Both of these offer online ordering, which seems simplest for the most of you and saves me from having to handle your money. If you want to order, but online ordering isn't convenient, please zap me an email and we can figure out another way to meet your frozen cookie dough needs.)

The Helen Grace Gourmet Collection (at www.innisbrook.com), featuring frozen cookie dough, PLUS pre-made funnel cakes, soft pretzels, and OMG pies. If you would like to be a hero and make a purchase online, please enter 119420 for the school code. I'm uncertain whether at this point you'll enter her ID: R150136C, her Username: PrincessKaboom, or her Actual first and last name. Orders are due by March 10, 2008. I don't have an exact delivery date yet, but the form says "about three weeks."

Gigi's Cookie Dough seems to have more variety in the cookie dough product category at ever-so-slightly lower prices, but (alas) no pies. On the other hand, they *do* have a silicone baking mat that looks terribly sexy. (We'll overlook for now the very twee KitchenPrayer plaque.) You can shop online at www.gecklerstore.com by entering the group ID: 2opymca and Fiona's seller ID: 2op7732. Deadline for orders is March 7, 2008. Product is scheduled to be delivered to us the week of April 7, 2008.

On the gecklerstore.com site, the number that allows you to log in is her ID, not the school's ID.

On the innisbrook.com site, there's a place for the school ID to go, but doesn't seem to be one for her individual ID -- maybe it asks for that when you place an order?

(In other words, yes, I'm buying stuff for Fi's fundraiser.) :)

You rock, dear.

I haven't placed my own order just yet, so I'm not certain *when* it asks for the student/seller's ID. If you can wait, then I can look on Friday (which is my payday and when I'd planned to place my own order). If you can't wait, then please feel free to order things that benefit the Greater School Good.

In other news, where is the cookie dough? I can't find cookie dough on either of those sites.

That is terrible. I apologize for your thwarted efforts as our test monkey (and I mean that in the most flattering way possible). The shiny, full-color brochures they included in our Nifty Fundraising Packets prominetly feature artful photographs of cookie dough. Give me some time, and I'll try to figure out where the problem is.

:)

If this is their spring line, maybe they just haven't got their sites updated yet. I'll check back at the end of the week (when I also get paid). :)

Not that I need to buy cookie dough, mind you (except for Spring Bazaar...). I was mostly just curious.

That would be Bad Marketing, but sure could be possible. Feh. Thank you. :)
