Hooray for Mandatory Fun
Oct. 28th, 2003 03:24 pmMy department just had an impromptu "creative" meeting, the upshot of which is that we're each bringing home a pumpkin. (Mine is very oblong, but nicely symmetrical.) See, we're supposed to decorate these pumpkins and bring them back tomorrow for a contest and celebratory potluck lunch. Please note that I have very little talent for decorating pumpkins, using a knife to carve anything...and we have almost nothing in the house from which to create a potluck food item.
1. Empty a can of pumpkin mash into a diaper and call it a "life cycle study." Place it next to the pumpkin pie I've brought for the potluck.
2. Introduce Pirate Pumpkin, knife between teeth and all. Bring a bottle of rum for the potluck.
3. Bring Ghost pumpkin, with a white pillowcase over its head. Bring a big bowl cereal (the kind with "spooky marshmallows" in it) for the potluck, along with a pitcher of milk.
Sweet godden, save my overly comptetitive ass.
