sharpening the saw
Apr. 17th, 2007 04:28 pmLast time I was visiting, Mom and Dad made a point of showing me a newspaper article about the UU congregation in their town -- the architecture is lovely (that was what the story was about). But they were thinking of me and my faith, which I thought was pretty nifty.
Anyway, I'll be there for long enough that I thought I might plan a visit there for Sunday Service. And, you know, coffee hour. Gotta have coffee hour. So I checked out their website and -- lo! -- they have a CUUPS chapter, with a Full Moon/Beltane rite planned for 4/28. Their "Wicca 101" students are performing it; I've emailed the CUUPS chapter contact to see if it's okay for a friendly stranger to show up.
Hard to say if circumstances will allow me to attend either of those, let alone both, but it's nice to know I'll have two chances to fill my spirit. Without having to perform the ritual myself. :) Coffee or magic...it's all good.
