This morning, my wake-up call was a mild headache bringing me to consciousness at about 5:45 a.m. Great. The dietary slip-ups of the last couple of days were taking their toll. (sigh) I got up for some medicine and then went back to bed to breathe and sort of meditate the medication through my body. As I felt the pain draining away, I was left with a sense of Still Being Awake. Rather than insist upon going back to sleep until 7 a.m. (since I'm not going to the office and really didn't HAVE TO get up until then), I thanked the powers that be for the blessing of alertness and remembered to respect my intention of getting up earlier. So. 6:09 a.m. saw me up and out of bed. I got through morning devotions, some yoga, a shower, and most of my morning routine before the little ones' alarm got them up at 7 a.m. Not so hard. :)

As for today's guidance, the first one out of the bag was Rowan, for protection. I asked if I needed to know what that was about, and I got Holly and Aspen. More cutting to be done, dear. But leave that to me and spare yourself some pain. You just focus on your will and intention for the future. Or at least that's how it seemed to me.

I've got a few projects planned for the morning. Never did put teacups back on the wall last night. I didn't get home until a bit after 8 p.m. and by then I was too exhausted to do much other than putter around a bit and go to bed. Probably just as well to have gotten good sleep. :)

I'm thinking I'll do the teacups this morning, and then get started on rehabbing a trunk downstairs that could be a nifty cedar chest kind of thing. Removing the yucky vinyl upholstery on the lid, a quick going-over with the palm sander, and an all-over coat of Kilz to prime and cover old stains should be achievable today. I'd like to repaint the outside with some colors we've already got on hand, line the inside with cedar paper, and re-upholster the lid (I think I've got just the brocade on hand for that, too).

Andrew will be home from work a bit after noon, which is when I'm going in to the office today.

ETA: Well, whaddya know. This wasn't supposed to be posted to the big, wide world. Thank goodness I didn't say anything embarrassing...you know, unless simply being dull is embarrassing, which I suppose it could be. :)

Hope your girly teacups look lovely by now, and that you've had a good breakfast, and that you feel better.

Kira was Very Involved, so teacups are on hold (again). We have done some work on the ugly old chest downstairs, though, and used our Mad Labeling Skillz in the linen closet. So that's good fun. :)

Breakfast was nummy. Attitude is pretty good. She's just requested a movie! Maybe I really CAN get back to the teacups...

If you happen to think of it, can you ask A. to call me at the office when he gets in? I need to figure out how he can get re-certified in CPR in the next 3 weeks. :/

Will do. We got a call here yesterday, and they'd scheduled him for something during his Day Job hours.

To be honest, I was happy to see this and feel included... :-)

Hope this little one is feeling better.
