Oh, the irony.

Here I am, a marketer by day, and I fail utterly to publicize our Protogrove's public Yule Rite for tonight. ::headdesk:: Still, it's more important that I get SOME kind of word out -- because it's supposed to be public and not sekrit -- than to preserve my own ego. Urk.
Wild Hare Protogrove, ADF
Yuletide Blessing Rite, Friday, 12/22/2006
We'll gather at the Turner Household for this relaxed, family-style Yuletide Blessing inspired by Norse traditions. Folks are welcome to arrive anytime after 6:45 p.m. -- we hope to begin as close to 7 p.m. as possible, but certainly before 7:30 p.m. Children of all ages are welcome; no separate child care will be provided, but the rite is short and friendly enough that they should be okay. (knock on wood)
Please try to bring a non-perishable food item we can gather into a Protogrove offering to Harvesters in honor of our gods and the season. There will also be a time and place within the ritual to offer praise and thanks for the bright moments we've experienced this year, as well as the strength we've received to help us through the darkness.
No particular ritual attire is required, so please dress in whatever way makes you comfortable (we'll be inside this time). There will be toasting during the rite, so feel free to bring a beverage to share, but there won't be a potluck, so try to eat dinner before you arrive or plan to eat afterwards. We should be done well before 9 p.m.
I think that covers the details. Any questions? Need directions? Just get in touch with me at my LJ email (listed on my user info page) or buzz me on my cell phone at 913-439-0369.
Luck and grace,
Nicole
