sunshine on my shoulder
Oct. 7th, 2010 11:07 amNever underestimate the power of sunshine and fresh air. So very glad I didn't let my mood shift over into el Mundo malo last night, because today is a brand new day in more ways than one.
Getting lots of little things done, and making good progress on the biz. In fact, I have a couple of client bookings already -- I'm looking at you,
chernobylred, and some other folks without LJ accounts -- including one Realtor who wants me to take care of some things for a house she's got listed, and a couple of local "opinion leader" friends who want me to come organize some stuff in their homes. WOOT.
On other fronts, the virtual assistant place has already contacted me with a contractor...um, contract. So I'll get that submitted by the deadline and maybe some work will flow my way from there too. ::fingers crossed::
I realize my journal has been sparse lately, except for these worries about work and such, but it's hard to lift one's head from those concerns when they loom so large. With luck, I'll able to engage some Higher Thinking soon!

Date: 2010-10-08 02:26 pm (UTC)I won't be doing housekeeping, but I can sure stop by unoccupied homes on the market to make sure the windows get opened, replace burnt-out light bulbs, and stuff like that.
The lady who won the drawing over on FB is a Realtor, and she loved it when I suggested it'd be okay if she wanted to use the prize for one of her clients. I'm going this afternoon to see Client's front door and talk for a few minutes about what they want. (See, Client *loves* Halloween, but Realtor won't let her use her extensive collection of corpses with knives. So she needs an alternative. Enter: me!)
