When my own music collection just isn't doing the trick, I can count on Soma FM. Usually, it's Groove Salad or Drone Zone. But today? Only Beat Blender will do. But that's only because I don't have any Earth, Wind & Fire ripped to the hard drive. If I had the option of a bunch of cheerful men in sequined suits and a horn section behind me today, you betcher sweet ass I'd have them on repeat. Can't wait to check out what [livejournal.com profile] gmskarka posts today.

To continue with the self-medication theme, I actually put some sweet in my coffee today. Not a lot, but some. It's Friday, after all. The tricky part will be in limiting how much of this yummier sweetness I let myself consume. No good to go from sluggishness to palpitations, or to trigger cravings for sweets later in the day. I'm aiming for moderation. Note to self: early bedtime tonight. Kthx.

And, tonight there will be sewing! There's offsite gaming for [livejournal.com profile] agrnmn and the crew (and perhaps one or more of the girls), so I aim to finish off the evening chores and sit down to do the mending that's piled up on my sewing shelf. Then, I can start planning some garb and holiday sewing. I think I'd like to make princess dresses for my neices and perhaps a lot of happy pants for brothers and sisters. Everybody loves happy pants, right? Need to think a bit about what to make for nephews. I'd like to keep with the textile/garb theme. Hm. ::plot, plot, plot:: I dig this early planning thing.

Does the happy pants offer extend to clan? 'Cause I would love another pair of big-leg wrap pants like my red/green ones...

Oh, you bet! I think I'll be more clevair about gifting for clan, but sure. I'll make happy pants for you any day. Just bring me the actual pattern or a garment to copy...or even a good picture. We'll figger it out.

I need a garb/textile whore icon one of these days. Hm. (Clearly, I have consumed Enough Caffeine now.)

I can bring you the current pair -- the construction would be very similar to the ones everybody bought from T'ger, but with a lot more fabric in, so that they actually, you know, cover your legs and stuff. Yay! Happy pant joy!

If you're looking for other online music goodness, check out Pandora.com.

It is a "create your own" internet radio station... basically, you tell them an artist or a song that you like and they use their database and music profiling magic to play back similar songs.

You can provide feedback for each song played, telling them to play more like it or to not play it again, so the whole thing "learns" as you go.

It's pretty cool and I have discovered a bunch of new music that way.

Interesting. I'm hearing some good stuff. So far, they've given me everything from Mudvayne to Backstreet Boys. :)
