So, a big hunk of a tree is sitting in my driveway now. I have no idea how I missed hearing that suckah fall, but it ain't budging. Thankfully, there's enough room for a car to squeeze by on one side, but day-um. Not an inch of movement, or even grudging acknowledgement of effort, not even with both me and Princess Boredom tugging on it. Gah.

It'll be just fine there 'til morning, when agrnmn will be back and we can try with three of us hefting. Perhaps there will be Special Chainsaw Fun.

Whoa, Nelly. That's impressive. I'd just be glad it didn't land on the car at all, much less leave extra room to get around. Hey, or a kid, either.

Impressive is right. I really can't imagine how much cracking and thunking there must have been. This is a significant branch, and still alive. But it didn't even take out the lamp post at the end of the driveway, though all the smaller branches are sort of nestled around the base of it. (shrug)

No way I'm going to try to move it again tonight. Did a lot of sanding in the upstairs bathroom with the palm sander (palm sander for everyone else; me, I have to use both hands) and the vibrations left my arms pretty much useless. So very tired too. It'll be a toss-up, whether I manage to stay awake until Princess Boredom goes to bed.
