Maybe timing ain't everything.
Oct. 2nd, 2010 12:27 amSo, midnight on Friday maybe isn't the best time to launch something new, in terms of market awareness, but technology, energy, and inspiration finally aligned -- so here we go, without any more of that self-doubting hesitation. ::deep breath::
Introducing: Everybody's Alice.

Sometimes, we all need an extra set of hands . . . somebody who can step in and handle those behind-the-scene details so you can focus your time and energy where you’re needed most. Everybody’s Alice offers flexible and friendly support for your life – your home, your family, your business – in just the right amount, to save you time and ease your worries.
I'm rolling out services slowly, because some tasks require initial outlay of cash I don't really have at the moment, but starting small is better than not starting at all, right? Everybody's Alice is based in southern Johnson County, but will make trips north of the river or out to Lawrence as needed.
Shopping – groceries, gifts (including wrapping)
Errands – prescription pick-up and delivery, post office, dry cleaning
Organization – decluttering and streamlining for office or home
Virtual Assistant – business writing, mailings, client service support
Events – handwritten invitations, creative favors and thank-you notes
Traveling Notary (coming soon!)
All services are offered at a flat $20/hour, billable in 15-minute increments, plus direct expenses for the task. (For example, we’ll pay for your postage and document the cost for your invoice – no mark-up!) Clients will receive electronic or printed invoices twice per month, with payment due within 30 days of receipt.

Date: 2010-10-02 05:31 pm (UTC)Grocery shopping, for instance, requires an initial outlay of cash until the client can be invoiced for time and items. I just don't have that kind of reserve at the moment. But most other stuff? Definitely a go. If there's something you need that isn't listed, please feel free to suggest it! :)
