My flight leaves at 4 p.m. today (not 2 p.m., which is the memory lodged in my head), which means I've got a few more hours than I'd originally thought. Still, I'm at that mental place where I'm discarding tasks and shedding distractions so I can be on my way. In many ways, I'm already gone...this mental departure is a long-established habit of mine. (shrug)

Wearing featherynscale's leather coat with my denim skirt and lug-soled boots. I figure my chances of being searched are excellent.

Laptop seems to be working Just Fine, but it's hard to say how much I'll be checking in online over the next few days. Sort of depends on how tapped out I am, you know? I'm looking forward to getting smarter with some solid continuing ed and master's track sessions -- and these trips are always good for my give-a-shit factor, too.

Many thanks for the soothing thoughts about packing, and the pointers for social activities. I may be online a bit during the day today, but this is the official "so long, folks."
