Save the Boobies!
Mar. 17th, 2006 04:17 pmOkay, we all know it's more serious than that, but I figured it was a fun way to get your attention. I'm now officially registered for the Kanas City Breast Cancer 3-Day. It's a 60-mile walk over three days, September 15-17.
You'll hear a lot more about it, because I've set a fundraising goal of $5,000 (the minimum to participate is $2,200, but hey). They've given me my own little fundraising website and everything, where I'll provide updates about such scintillating adventures as:
* how many dogs named Aengus I meet during my training walks
* catchy cadences that keep me entertained (since iPods and such are forbidden for the actual event) -- bonus for those that include references to the sterling quality of my tits
* pictures from my Very First Mammogram
* special offers for painting my toenails pink, and adorning other parts of my body with pink ribbons (temporary art, or food-based fun)
* and many other gems to motivate and otherwise induce you to contribute
Much love from me and My Girls,
Nicole
P.S. If anybody could manage to adjust this userpic to include a teensy, weensy pink ribbon, that'd be super. Or, you know, something else wonderfully boobulous.

Date: 2006-03-18 05:11 pm (UTC)Saff, are you collecting yogurt tops for this? My hotel has mini serving-sized Yoplait yogurt on the breakfast bar with red lids advertising Race For The Cure. Unfortunately the website listed ( http://www.gmifs.com ) doesn't say whether the red lids apply for this, or only pink ones from larger sizes. If you'ld like, I can save them for you.

Date: 2006-03-22 12:24 pm (UTC)Seriously, sorry if i confused you, I made some off the cuff remarks re a mutual liking of big ugly dogs to
I was moved by your effort in raising funds and awareness for breast cancer and popping into photoshop was the least I could do. If you wanted different words or something that could be easily done but if they’re not what you were looking for no worries.
Good luck with the fund raising

Date: 2006-03-24 04:54 pm (UTC)The icons are great -- I wasn't really sure what I was looking for, either. Just, you know, something. How's that for creative direction? I'll be keeping everyone posted!
Nice to meet you. (grin)
