Many things have sucked this weekend, but not all of them. The vacuum, for instance. It does not suck. At all. We don't have a lot of carpet in this house, but what we do have really needs to be vacuumed.

Many things have been agitating this weekend, but not all of them. The washing machine, for instance. No agitation available, since I broke a knob off of it tonight. agrnmn is graciously trying to glue it back together fo me, since I am very busy banging my head against the wall.

I mean, it's not like I *wanted* to do more laundry and vacuuming, but still. Sheesh.

I may be able to help with the vacuum situation -- I got a new one recently as step three of my "How not to live in a bachelor pad" program, and it came with a "FREE BONUS rechargeable cordless sweeper" which is presently sitting in my closet wondering whether I will ever find a use for it. The sweeper is a glorified huh-duh-duh-duh sort of machine that's probably not up to super-deep piling, but your stuff is all low-pile enough that I think it would handle it just fine. You are welcome to have it forever and ever if you would like it. (You're also welcome to borrow the vacuum, if you think the sweeper wouldn't be up to it.)

I can help with troubleshooting & possible repair of the un-sucky vacuum. I also have a canister vac (and extra bags) that you're welcome to. It works fine for tile, linoleum, hardwood floors, and low pile carpet. I replaced it with a bagless upright and just haven't found a new home for it yet.
