Happy Ash Wednesday, or something.

My radar seldom registers Fat Tuesday, but on Ash Wednesday I'm guaranteed to crave bacon...and throughout Lent, I'll manage to eat meat on Fridays even if I don't get any during the rest of the week.

And I'm not going to remedy that (unintentional) little double ententre.

You know, I never figured I was rebelling against the Catholic thing, but then I realized I was ordering a bacon cheeseburger with chicken strips on the side for lunch one Lenten Friday. :)

Still, I often give something up for Lent. Have to figure out what that'll be this year.

I always had to laugh about the folks who wouldn't eat meat on Fridays, but would have lobster instead. Because of their Lenten fast, you know.
