Groovin' on Friday Music

My brand-new music obsession for today's rainy weather: The Kelly Bell Band. I can't find videos for "Dear Maggie" or "Reincarnated," but those are hella awesome as well. Here's how he describes their music:

"If you could imagine Muddy Waters wearing a Bob Marley T-shirt riding on Black Sabbath's tour bus on their way to a Parliament Funkadelic concert, listening to Sammy Davis Junior on an 8-track tape humming a Run DMC song, that would be close to what we do..."

ETA: Holy shit. "Homegrown" is killin' me, right after "Sweet Wind & Soul" made my clothes fall off. I might need to make a music purchase sometime soon. And..."Somebody's Fool" has completely ruined me for the day, fankyewverymuch.

cookie-baking fiend

If "baking" is what I'm doing, when I pull the pre-formed cookie dough outta the freezer, snap a piece off, and put it on the cookie sheet in the oven. Thank all the little gods for cookie dough fundraisers, is all I'm saying. SRSLY.

Still. Fiona had cookie treats at gymnastics last night, FINALLY, in honor of her birthday. (Same month counts, right?) And then she had cookies to bring to school for Chat & Chew (her little book discussion group). She was delighted, so I could it as a WIN.

There have been requests for me to make another batch of the S'Mores cookies I really *did* bake for Rowan's swim meet/birthday last week. We'll see. :)
