Surfacing for the festival of horoscopes.
Jun. 8th, 2005 02:39 pmFreeWill was pretty baffling, so I'm sharing this bit from today on The Pagan Update(tm):
This is the runic fortnight of Odal. This rune (also called Othila) represents the polarity of possession and separation. Outmoded relationships, failing plans, and broken dreams are now to be radically severed away. Although this sounds like force (yang), it may also be a form of retreat and submission to the inevitable (yin).
Real benefits like family and alliance are obtained only when something else is given up. Odal gives each of us a chance to streamline our lives, allowing us to gain as much as possible during the coming summer - which is growing-season, and battle-season.
and a fun little item from the calendar:
This is Lindisfarne Day in the Norse traditions. This celebration commemorates the first-ever Viking raid against Britain. Whether this makes you feel like celebrating will depend upon how you feel about the British, and the Vikings.

Jack comes up with some interesting stuff, sometimes. And now...the bunny goes back underground. Catch you later,
