You are all cordially invited to share in the joy that is UNIPEP -- the United Nations International Pajama Exchange Program.*

The mission of UNIPEP (at least, as far as [livejournal.com profile] featherynscale and I have gotten in defining it) is to foster world peace by encouraging people to share their favoritest jammies with friendly folk around the world. We are motivated by the love of napping, and a firm belief that if everybody spent more time sleeping well in comfy jammies, then world peace might stand a fighting chance.

UNIPEP is entering its third year now. It's my ambition to recruit some participants from outside the KC area, and perhaps even go international. I'd like to congratulate [livejournal.com profile] chaosdruid and [livejournal.com profile] niveus_tigris, who took possession of my garishly flowered satin jammies for the season. Enjoy!

On seasonality: We are active year-round, but pajama-wearing tends to increase during the colder months, so this is a great season to spread the Good News.

On inclusion: We welcome participants of all ages and persuasions, but it's important to note that we're not talking about sex here. Sure, sex is about love and all that -- don't get us wrong -- but UNIPEP is more about loving-kindness than actual booty.

*We're not actually endorsed by the UN (yet), but we like to think they'd applaud our efforts to support napping and world peace.

Is there a website/centralized location for the posting/finding of pajamas? Because I think those leopard & rose print ones of mine have a great deal to contribute to world peace.

You know, that's a really excellent idea. Give me a few days, okay?

Not at all. Spread the jammie love!

I'm in. I have a nice pale green nighty of winterish material that manages to avoid being the typical winter flannel nighty that I'm willing to throw into the ring.

But I want a pajama-trading website now, Daddy! [/Veruca]

Nah, no sweat on it. I reckon Wild Hunt prep, 9F, occasionally trying to see your husband, etc are probably much higher priorities in your world right now. I would hope they are, anyway. Besides, having just reclaimed my bedroom from the laundry monster there won't be enough dirty clothes to justify a load for a few days. And trading dirty pajamas... well that's just uncouth, not to mention not at all conducive to world peace.

Just tell me where to send them, babe.

Not being the type to wear much to bed these days *ahem*, I don't expect anything back in exchange, and I don't know if these will fit anybody. But I've got a nice lovely 100% polyester ocean-blue satiny set marked size 3x that I bought along with another set of silver color(mine, all mine, I'm ogreish on those, nope, not gonna share the silver ones) during a frilly girly moment and never got around to wearing, that I would be very, very happy to put into circulation/good use. They even come with a matching sash. Really. They're quite comfy and froo-froo without being too outrageous, and make sliding around in the bed much easier. :D
