It's worth noting that I'm feeling particularly unsuccessful these days, with regards to Nine Fires. Sure, I'm sending an invoice to a client today/tomorrow. And yes, we're going to be pimping cards around town on November 10th (got the day off) and will be at the Winter Bizarre again. Just very frustrated with slowness and...well, gleh. Anyway.

Today, I was bathed in the metaphorical sunshine of a well-timed fortune, nestled inside a particularly yummy fortune coookie:

You will be unusually successful in business.

No fair pointing out that "unusually successful" is pretty darn vague, and might even be a euphemism. The fortune was bracketed by little smiley faces, fer cryin' out loud.

Yeah. I'm working on the advice that one should seek to "fail successfully" and keep on going. That, and only to kick myself once for each mistake.
