Interview Meme!
If you want me to interview you....

Here are the rules:
1 -- Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.
2 -- I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
3 -- You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 -- You'll include this explanation.
5 -- You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.

Questions posed by the ever-inciteful-insightful [livejournal.com profile] fionnabhar.

1. What is the kindest thing you have done for any person this month?
Christ on a bike, woman. I don't know. I'm not trying to avoid answering...I just truly have no idea. You've got me thinking, though.

2. Princess !Kaboom once informed me that Princess Sticky's middle name was Coatl. What is it really?
Marie. If you're curious, Princess !Kaboom's middle name is Colette; Boredom's is Theresa.

3. If you did not have to consider [livejournal.com profile] agrnmn's tastes or opinions, what would your bedroom look like after you redecorated?
Much less ornate, except for having a bazillion pillows and very drapey drapes. I dig the colors and the fabrics that he's likely to go with for the "barbarian overlord" theme. I might choose a hard-surface floor with nifty area rugs instead of a fully carpeted experience. The big divergence in our tastes is that I prefer very simple lines in furniture, without a lot of bulk. So, where I might go for a platform bed, he's more likely to want a four-poster with lots of carving and...er, stuff.

4. If the cherry pie ran out, what would be your second choice?
Apple-cranberry (which is the only pie I've ever made) or strawberry-rhubarb, depending on what's in season. After that, just about any fruit pie would be great. Can't stand pecan or key lime.

5. Sammy Hagar or David Lee Roth?
Um. Neither, really, though Sammy might win by a hair (ha). Can I have Eddie Van Halen instead? He smiles more.

Yes. Dave grins and hams it up a lot. He smiles AT people. Eddie is a bit quieter and kinder with his smiling, and he smiles FOR people. It's intertwined with my answer to #1 in ways very difficult to articulate online.

Here goes.

Thank goodness you're gathering more questions from people other than me. Relieves some of the pressure to be Clever.

1. Assume you've got a holodeck or something similarly insulated from Reality. If you could hook up two people -- one from your past and one from your present -- just to see what would happen, who would they be?

2. Under what circumstances could you be persuaded to move to Canada? (This question brought to you by the Dwarven Separatist Movement.)

3. Will you please make me some more white trash teacakes? Very, very soon?

4. If you had unlimited resources for traveling, which places (or times) would be highest on your list? No, you can't stay there.

5. If you could costume the local crew for the next DragonCon, as what characters would you dress us? Pick as many genres as you need for maximum amusement of yourself. I hear there are multiple days and themes, but I'm asking specifically about parade day. Assume unlimited support from your Corps of Engineers.

Okay. (Deep breath, so as to heave my bosom in your direction.)

1. You've spoken of "dangerous resonances" being a signifant reason why you and I shouldn't be a pair. Which ones do you mean? (I ask this in agreement with the theory, just some curiosity over how you'd identify the resonances.)

2. If your life would allow you to cross-dress more frequently, would you do it for your own pleasure -- or do you enjoy it primarily for its effect on others?

3. Could you pretty please make it a personal mission to make sure I get to go see Curse of the Were-Rabbit with my huband on the big screen? I'd like to delegate that particular application of will to somebody else, if possible.

4. Act for a moment as if you believed you had a patron (not necessarily your one and only, for all time). Who would it be?

5. What's one self-indulgent thing that you're certain would make you a better person, if only people would let you indulge in said thing more often?

*eyes the bosom*

1. In what areas of your married life does [livejournal.com profile] nodeal57 have the lead? This is asked with the assumption that marriage is a partnership. I've just never seen the part of your culture of which he's the God-Emperor.

2. How would you put together your own book tour? What kind of events would you like to have?

3. What can a host/hostess do to help you feel comfortable in their house? What makes you feel instantly uncomfortable?

4. Under what circumstances are you happy to show off your cleavage in public? (Please note that I'm not talking about actual toplessness.)

5. Since you refer to my kids as your "practice" grandchildren, I'll make an assumption that you hope your daughters grow up to have children some day. Do you have a vision of the sort of person you hope they'll each find? Describe.

You guys are killing me. Okay, dear, I'll do you instead of composing five questions for my husband. One has to think very carefully about such things. :)

For you, I wish to concentrate on questions that might help me get to know you better.

1. Why the heck do you read my LJ? I honestly can't remember if I friended you first, or what.

2. Would you tell me about your most frequently used userpics? There's usually a backstory, and I'm curious.

3. Have you indulged in tourist behavior since moving to DC? What do you think everyone should take the time to experience if they're in the city?

4. Describe your favorite scar (literal or metaphorical).

5. What kind of games do you enjoy playing? (There are many ways to interpret this question. Use whichever of them pleases you most.)

Sure!

1. What's the most difficult part of your position as Breast Inspector? (Please note I didn't use the word "hard" there.)

2. This is inpsired by a question posed to me by [livejournal.com profile] fionnabhar: If I let you decorate the bedroom in any way you wanted, how would you do it? (Assuming the same house, but a much larger budget for tools and stuff.)

3. Do you think we sort of have a Sea Folk marriage, or what?

4. On an ideal morning (since you're a morning person, gods love ya), what does your routine look like? (Assume the current household.)

5. Is there a "family of origin" habit that you're pleased to have kept? How about one that you're pleased I've kept from my family?

1. How many people do you figure it would take to hold you down so you'd be still for a little while?

2. After you've been ill, what's the first food you eat as you start to feel better? (Mine's cinnamon toast.)

3. What's your favorite t-shirt to wear to work?

4. Why did you start working at Faire? What keeps you going back?

5. What would you do with a one-year sabbatical?

1. How come you smell so good all the time? Is there a combination of scents, or are you just naturally marvelous-smelling?

2. You're often frowning when you look at me and ask how I'm doing. Why is that?

3. What jewelry are you wearing today? What are the stories behind those pieces?

4. Tell me about your favorite scar, literal or metaphorical. (Yes, this is a favorite question.)

5. What kind of music do you play to bolster a good mood? To break you out of a funk? To loll about in a funk?

Princess !K was able to tell me her own middle name. It was the other one that remained elusive.
