lustful thoughts
May. 2nd, 2005 10:44 amI really want this tarot deck. Of course, I have very little facility for reading cards, but there you go. It's shiny and lovely...I saw it in
weya's LJ and fell in lust.

P.S. Princess Boredom received not just one, but TWO tarot decks for her birthday. They both seem to suit her very well, so thanks much to
fionnabhar and
opaljax. Will have to have some tea parties with her to chat about divination and let her use the cards outside the preteen slumber party environment. May need to import some folks more acquainted with tarot for this.
Hey --
featherynscale -- did you find online the notes from my divination class, or shall I dig around for them elsewhere?

Date: 2005-05-02 03:53 pm (UTC)Was I supposed to be looking for your divination notes? Was it because I wanted them, or because you did?
Please forgive me -- apparently my request to have my brains screwed out over Beltane weekend was taken literally.

Date: 2005-05-02 04:43 pm (UTC)Ooh, ooh. Suit snacks. Tea is cups, scones is pentacles, something spicy for wands, and I'm stumped for swords. Meringues for air? Eat with our knives? Brandish our knives about when we pile on the lemon curd? I sense infinite possibilities.

Date: 2005-05-02 06:38 pm (UTC)I like the book too. The information is straightforward and simple. It gives exercises that look to be really useful (still need to do them). The author gives associations for the suits and for the numbers/courts and then directs you to come up with interpretations for the intersections. (ie. Pentacles generally deal with earthy things (she gives more specifics) and Twos generally deal with partnerships/relationships so what would the Two of Pentacles mean?) I like that she pushes you to think and associate and intuit the cards instead of going into miniscule detail on the meaning of each card.
Sorry I'm gushing. I guess I'm a bit excited. LOL.
Um, You're welcome?
