I know that leaves me open to all sorts of ridicule, but there you go. On any given day, only three out of four things are working in my life. If I can manage to keep moving forward, and perhaps alternate which leg is missing, then I figure that's Good Enough.

Today, I'm doing a good job managing input and output (in terms of exercise and nutrition and creativity/productivity). Having a hard time with the balance between focus and flow, however. So many different things are requiring my focus -- and many of them on urgent deadlines -- but I can't seem to remember what day today is, or how that relates to when things are due.

Um. Wednesday, right?

Today is Wednesday, April 27th. Things that are due on 4.27 are due today. Things that are due on 4.X<27 are late. Things that are due on 4.X>27 are due later this week.

Don't worry about things that have a deadline of 3.X. They are already so late, another day won't matter.

Don't worry about things that have a deadline of 5.X. You've got plenty of time yet.

Clearer now?

About 2 hours ago I had myself completely convinced that today was Thursday, and then I couldn't figure out why nothing else fit my knowledge... It was fun. I think I have now convinced myself that it is indeed Wednesday again. You're certainly not alone.

Yes! That's exactly what's been happening. Plus, I'm losing a day somewhere -- an appointment I coulda sworn was on Friday is actually tomorrow. Which doesn't mean that today is Thursday. urg.
