Could be an omen, could be a pizza, but it seemed particularly appropriate to hear this song three times in the 60 minutes or so I was in the car yesterday (to and from work; then to and from EiR Class). I barely managed to stay on the road the third time, and probably alarmed many people at stoplights with my car singing and dancing. Really ought to have spent more time on grounding throughout the day, but it was a pleasant buzz. I rocked, in case you were wondering.

Climbing up on Salisbury Hill
I could see the city lights
Wind was blowing, time stood still
Eagle flew out of the night
He was something to observe
Came in close, I heard a voice
Standing, stretching every nerve
I had to listen had no choice
I did not believe the information
Just had to trust imagination
My heart going boom boom boom
Son, he said, grab your things I've come to take you home

To keep in silence I resigned
My friends would think I was a nut
Turning water into wine
Open doors would soon be shut
So I went from day to day
Though my life was in a rut
Till I thought of what I'd say
And which connection I should cut
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
Son, he said, grab your things I've come to take you home

yeaah, back home

When illusion spin her net
I'm never where I want to be
And liberty she pirouette
When I think that I am free
Watched by empty silhouettes
Who close their eyes but still can see
No one taught them etiquette
So I will show another me
Today I don't need a replacement
I'll tell them what the smile on my face meant
My heart going boom boom boom
Hey, I said, you can keep my things they've come to take me home

Lovely. I hereby declare it to be a good omen. Cos, you know, you can do that in Hellenismos.

Radio kledons are generally entertaining. The first thing that came on the radio the day I did the sharps ritual was the chorus of "And she will be loved." And then I heard it at *least* once a day, usually more, for the next two and a half weeks until I finally said "Alright, already, I get the point!" Persistent, my gods are.

sausage or pepperoni?

I don't know why, but I've been hearing that song a LOT lately too (could just be some of the newer stations play it more often). I was actually discussing the meaning of it (the song, not the omen) the other night, after my 2nd or 3rd time hearing it that week...

We should talk. About this, too.

Yes. If nothing else, it's gotten me thinking. Thinking is good; overthinking is bad.
