Mom-Style Fretting Ahead
Feb. 15th, 2005 12:49 pmPrincess Boredom's cold/flu got more complicated last night, with her cough triggering an asthma attack worse than we've seen in a few years at least. She and
She's so pale and skinny and miserable -- and struggling to keep calm so she can breathe. I hate seeing her like this. Though I probably wouldn't want to tie up the phone with any "poor baby" calls, just whining here has been real helpful. As she starts to feel better (tonight, hopefully), a couple of cheery emails to her gmail account would be groovy, if you are so inclined. Her username is "whitedragonblade" (she chose it, not us).

UPDATE @ 1445 hours: They're home with more prescriptions than...well, I don't know what. There's Advair, another inhaler, oral steroids and some antibiotics. She still can't quite rest -- too hopped up on albuterol, I guess -- but she's a bit less hunched over herself and is behaving much less like Desdemona of the Dead. Hopefully, we can get her to nap soon (and catch some rest ourselves!). She'll be home from school again tomorrow for sure. Thanks for the pep rally, guys.

Date: 2005-02-15 10:57 pm (UTC)The good news is, treatment and recognition have gotten a lot better since then. The awful stuff I had to take them for maintenance of asthma has been replaced by much less noxious inhalers and pills. She'll be annoying the dogpiss out of you in no time, that's for sure.
How's that for a pep rally?
