hormone surge?
I'm currently experiencing a surge of vanity, which (in my limited way) I tend to call "girly." Doesn't make a lot of sense, because there are plenty of men and folks along the continuum who are also vain. But this is not about the label.
This is about the PRETTY. Seriously. Back in November, quite possibly during a similar time of the month (tm), I invested in a "buy six eyebrow wax services now, and get a 15% discount." Few splurges give me a sense of being put-together and lovely, with such a small expenditure of cash and time, as getting my eyebrows shaped...so it was kind of a no-brainer.
Well...since yesterday's session, I have been on a kick of choosing jewelry to go with my outfits, like, the night before. Today, I'm wearing earrings, a necklace, two bracelets, AND a ring. I want to purchase mascara. And why don't I have more choices for eyeshadow colors?
To add to the trippiness of this experience, I have an appointment for a pedicure on Saturday (courtesy of a gift card from the lovely parents of a gymnastics student of mine), and I'm seriously considering having my nails done. CRAZY.
