For yesterday's dinner, I added some extra steamed veggies to the brown rice I've been eating -- cauliflower, yellow squash, carrots, broccoli -- and it all went down just fine. Smaller volumes of food are still preferred. Later in the evening, I was *dying* for something sweet, so I drizzled a little bit of chocolate syrup over banana slices. While technically non-fat, it was not so great. I suspect I just ate it too quickly, but the intensity of the chocolate could have been too much. Ah, well.

Slept last night in my own bed, which was awesome. This morning, I made a breakfast smoothie with mixed berries, lowfat yogurt, and a bit of protein powder. I ate it slowly and it went down nicely with no ill effects. :: knock on wood :: I'd like to have something a bit more "dinnerish" for dinner tonight...we'll see.

Today, I'm also trying to ease off on the stronger pain meds and hope to get in a walk (or two) around the block to enjoy the fresh air. Of course, my mother has already called, warning me not to Do Too Much. Maybe it's a good day to watch [livejournal.com profile] diermuid paint the front door and try to learn bead applique. :)

ETA: Okay, maybe not so much on the "ease off the pain meds" today. Either I'm doing too much or the discomfort is still outpacing OTC stuff. Either way, Lortab seems to be the Light and the Way.
