Things Making Me Happy Today

Because sometimes it's useful to keep track of this stuff, especially during a week like this one:

• Sunshine. OMG sunshine. I have missed you!


• Somebody on a friend's LJ was talking about fonts and saying they sort of liked comic sans, even though it has a reputation as the "Hitler/child molester/dog poop of the font world." Hilarious and TRUE!


• Annual flowers starting to appear at the stores. No way am I planting anything outside until the last frost date (April 17th, not that I'm counting), but they were so very pink and purple and yellow.


• A honeysuckle-scented candle, which has inspired me to shuffle my home altar for springtime and Beltane and stuff.


• M&Ms right here at my desk.


• Successful submission of the first big chunk of work here at the new job. Woohoo!


• The prospect of going to the Friday Night Fish Fry sponsored by the Knights of Columbus here in town. I'm not a practicing Catholic anymore, but those kinds of events still carry a lot of (positive) emotional weight. Plus, fish & chips for dinner. Even if I did have turkey and bacon for lunch. Maybe I can manage some beef before bedtime and just hit *all* the animal product meat-like foods in one day?

the fish & chips sound wonderful. here in my town, the Sons of Italy fry up zeppole at the summer street fairs. not that i go to them, but so i hear. next summer, i should go and have myself a few!
