gratitude brings sunshine to a dreary day
Oct. 14th, 2009 02:50 pmHaven't done this in a while, but here goes (in no particular order, as they're on my mind today):
I think that's it for now. Ordinary blessings, which I do not for one second take for granted.
- A warm and comfy apartment, and a warm and comfy bed, to keep me safe (and warm and comfy) as the weather turns darker and colder.
- Children who can take their own showers, start to finish, and who pay sufficient attention to washing where the sun doesn't shine.
- Friends who will treat me to sushi, even if it's usually just them eating the sushi and me having tuna fish or salad or something.
- Puppies with the grace to sleep through the night and do their business outside.
- Darn decent health/dental insurance, and fully utilized medical FSAs.
- My crockpot, and recipes that make use of it! Which the kids love!
- Phone conversations with my mother, who is delighted that she's headed to Disney with her sister for the food & wine festival this weekend (and who might drunk-dial me, if I'm lucky).
I think that's it for now. Ordinary blessings, which I do not for one second take for granted.
