Go Go Christian Pep Rally
A well-meaning co-worker just brought me a little sticker that "everyone in the company" is going to be wearing today...apparently, some sort of Christ-centered motivational team-building thingie. It says:
The task ahead of you is never as great at the POWER behind you. "...if you have faith as small as a mustard seed...Nothing will be impossible for you." ~Matthew 17:20
While I can stretch my UU mind to appreciate the spirit of this request, I am choosing not to wear the sticker. I thanked the woman and she went on her rabble-rousing way without waiting for me to actually put it on.
For one thing, I just don't wear buttons or stickers that say things. But mostly, I resent the (continuing) implication that we're a Christian Company (rah rah, sis boom bah).
