my inner Calvinist disapproves
May. 8th, 2013 11:23 amHome sick today. I can't say it's anything dramatic, but I woke with an awful headache and have had two nosebleeds this morning. YAY. Also, probably unrelated, my whole lower back has seized up. I had grand thoughts of, oh! I could log in to work from home and get housecleaning done with this day. But NO. All I've managed so far is to make some oatmeal for breakfast, watch some videos on the Internet, and stare at the book I probably won't read.
It's hard for me not to think of this day as a failure, because the next 12 day will be increasingly busy and man I could sure use some time to do prep work (which could be today! my inner Calvinist says) but I think I'm gonna roll with the "let's do mostly nothing" vibe for at least a few more hours. Dive now. Surface later.
