mostly just for KC area folks

Wanted to let folks know what's up with FionaPie's schedule as a Munchkin for Wizard of Oz next week -- I can't believe it's already (almost) here! The show is at the local high school auditorium. Tickets are $7 each and can only be purchased at the door. If you're local and in the mood for an exuberant high school musical production (which is an acquired taste, I know), then here are the details:

Thursday, 11/8, 7 p.m. (opening night)
Saturday, 11/10, 2 p.m. (matinee)
Saturday, 11/10, 7 p.m. (final show)

They're at that point where the director is losing his voice and everybody is convinced that nothing will ever be ready. It's lookin' pretty surreal about now. AWESOME.

Had a great follow-up appt with the surgeon. There was "nothing directional" in the lab analysis of my gallstones. They were just...you know, gallstones. What this means is I don't have to worry about anything in particular being wonky with my system and can keep on keeping on with low-fat choices. Whew. Got a high-five for (thus far) not having anything send me racing for the bathroom. I am learning from the episodes of yurpiness and continuing to recalibrate for fruits, veggies, and other stuff that's good for me.

I'm cleared for lower-intensity bodyweight and kettlebell exercises, as well as vigorous walking/stair-climbing and...uh, TMI. Deadlifting, running, and swinging from chandeliers will need to wait another couple of weeks. I am excited!
