Just clever enough, just often enough.

This morning, agrnmn said something clever enough to be worthy of public acclaim. I'm trying to avoid getting out of bed (think "Five Stages of Grief" and you've pretty much got my wake-up routine), thinking that there's no way I want to leave my wondrous bed on such a soft and rainy morning. I've been bargaining with the snooze alarm for about 35 minutes when he comes in and says:

But the morning is waiting for you! Look! It's wet with anticipation!

This made me giggle so hard that I *had* to get out of bed pretty darn promptly and go pee. Well done, mister.

Heaven help me. Peonies.

They're everywhere -- in my neighborhood, along the trails where I walk, and even on ursulav's journal. And I love them so. My adoration of their PINKNESS and their scent and the amazing ruffulous petals is so unbearably romantic. Much to my husband's dismay, I want to fill my garden with all sorts of floweriness: peonies (no! double peonies!)...hydrangeas...even daisies...you name it.

Somebody bring me my floppy hat and a pair of polka-dotted garden gloves. I am undone.
