Where Herne would sort kick my ass when I was lagging or simply be silent when I was doing well, Angus seems to be into positive reinforcement. Specifically, he sends me puppies.
Impossibly big-footed doggies who sit in the middle of the walking path, ignoring their masters and waiting for me to approach before springing into wagging, scampering action. Shaggy, affectionate, gold-colored doggies who collapse in joy at my feet and remind me that perfection is to be found in rubbing one's belly Just So. Who are, in fact, named Angus.
