A good weekend already.
Nov. 25th, 2005 01:24 pmA very pleasant and friendly T-giving with friends and chosen family. Small crowd, excellent pie, and hardly any dishes (we invoked the powers of Chinet). That's my kind of holiday. To top it all off,
agrnmn called in "sick" to work and proceeded to rock my socks off. The girls all slept past 8 a.m. and I got to loll in bed until after 10 a.m. I got to have White Trash Mocha Latte with breakfast.* The sun is shining.
Now, daily chores are out of the way. While
agrnmn takes the little ones to play with Fractal and run to Home Depot (he's a very brave man), I'm starting to do some deglazing/base coat painting in the hallway. While I wait for paint to dry, I'll probably go sand down the walls of the upstairs bathroom with my nifty little hand sander machine thingie. Hubby will be putting plastic over upstairs windows and working on cabinet doors. There will be intermittent ass-grabbing, oh yes.
Also, got to send a deposit to the business account from another satisfied client. If the Winter Bazaar only does as well as last year (when we were woefully underprepared), then we could break $1,000 in revenue for the year. We ain't exactly Fortune 500 yet, but we're operating in the black and financing ourselves, so that's nothing to sneeze at.
::swoons with Cancerian joy::
* White Trash Mocha Latte = random ground coffee, brewed in my schmancy Gevalia machine; some hot cocoa mix and French Vanilla creamer in the cup; and Redi-Whip. No, my husband didn't marry for my cooking. Why do you ask?
