I've done it. I've posted my resume to Monster and formatted a couple of Agents to filter through openings for me. It's passive, but it's a start.

I seem to recall a few of you Kansas City locals working with recruiters. If you felt pleased with their services, could you pass along their contact information by email? This pirate is very unhappy with her current ship and wishes to take her talents to better waters.

I had a grand time working for Maxim Group, IBM Global Services (big potatoes here at Sprint) and Aetea. I also liked Bradford and Galt, a local company that I never managed to sign with.

I forget who placed me at Sprint... some company in Westport. I -love- recruiters... it's just outsorced HR with more than one client... it's a win-win situation. Of course I do salary like I wanted to do the house... no haggling. But then there was a nice setup to that... I gave the recruiter my requirements, they would match them with companies, so I generally got job offers that were within my asking price.
