saffronhare: (Kiss My Bunny Ass)
Funny enough, this IS one of my favorite phrases, and one of my very first spoken phrases ever (before I got conversant in English, even). We lived with my grandparents while Dad was in Vietnam. Papa's senility got worse during that time and he gradually forgot how to speak English...slipping back into Gaelic and chatting with little ol' me when I was a toddler. :)

Take the quiz:
Which Random Irish Gaelic Phrase Are You?

Pog mo thoin
Pog mo thoin - 'Kiss my ass.'You're one tough bastard, and if anyone doesn't like it, they can kiss your ass. You enjoy fighting and causing grievous bodily harm. Hey! What are you lookin' at, punk?

Yesterday, I decided to try playing a game with [livejournal.com profile] rougewench. She's asked me some questions, which I'll endeavor to answer here. Also included are the rules with an excellent addendum from herself. And now, I suppose I should "friend" her, so she can actually comment on the answers if she likes. ::waves hello::

Back around again, like all LJ memes that crop up like clockwork, is The Interview Meme (sometimes inexplicably called the Shower Meme)...the rules go like this:

1. Leave me a comment saying "Interview me!"
2. I will respond by asking you five questions of a very intimate and creepily personal nature, or not so creepy personal.
3. If you choose, you can update your journal with the answers to the questions.
4. Be a sport and include this explanation with an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, be a nosey fart and ask them 5 questions.

Now here's the thing, as busy as I am at the moment, I cannot promise that I'll get you 5 questions instantly if you ask me. Also, if I've "interviewed" you before (one of the last times this bastard went around), please do me the kindness of not asking for another go around this particular time around...

I like the take [livejournal.com profile] kaidevis has on this one. In fact, I'll go ahead and quote him directly:

I keep watching this "memory" meme go around, you know the one -- write something you remember about the person propagating the meme. Hell with that.

Tell me some way I have influenced your life, an idea or philosophy or decision or life path you might not have taken without having come across me. Then, if you wish, post this in your own journal and ask your own social spiral the same thing.

Now, to get some work done.

1. Go here.
2. Pass it on.

I haven't been tagged, and I don't really want to tag anybody else, but I sort of felt like doing this anyway:
Pick 10 fictional characters you'd have sex with...

1. Riddick. (Vin Diesel, from Chronicles of Riddick) Any day. Anywhere.
2. Captain Etienne Navarre (Rutger Hauer, from Ladyhawke).
3. Count Adhemar of Anjou (Rufus Sewell, from A Knight's Tale). Yes, there's a pattern here. I'll move on.
4. Simon Templar (Val Kilmer, from The Saint).
5. Vianne Rocher (Juliette Binoche, from Chocolat). This is here mostly because I want to BE her, not really DO her.
6. Corky (Gina Gershon, in Bound). Ridiculous name, but there you go. No, not Jennifer Tilly...or Gina's character in Showgirls.
7. Guinevere (Kiera Knightly, from King Arthur). That mostly does it for the chicks.
8. Steerpike (Jonathan Rhys-Myers, from Gormengast). Sorry. Was supposed to be moving on.
9. Frank Martin (Jason Statham, from The Transporter). I swear I can't help it.
10. Eomer (Karl Urban, from LOTR). What?!

I went mostly with movies, and just listed the first ones that came to mind. They're not really ranked and don't nearly exhaust the list. I promise I have a bit more range -- not a lot, but a bit -- though my mood today is quite definite.

::le sigh::
